More than 30% patients do not get cataract surgery because of Unaffordability and/or lack of access to facilities.
Since its inception in 2012, the Nandadeep Medical Care Foundation has performed more than 40,000 free cataract surgeries till date.
Last year (2023) we performed more than 7,000 free cataract surgeries with help of our donors and volunteer surgeons.
With a target of 15,000 surgeries to be done in 2024.
Our partnership with Nandadeep Eye Hospital and their team of experienced surgeons , fellows and PG students volunteering time for surgeries without compensation helps our initiative strengthen more towards completion.
